Name of procedure
3 times segmental excision of the tumor and cryosurgery with dry ice
Laser is not expected to be effective for these thick black birthmarks.
Since it was simply too difficult to resect in a single term, we performed two fractional excisions, one just barely enough to not distort the shape of the eyelid, and finally, we removed the color from the remaining blackhead using a cryosurgery technique with dry ice.
In this case, rather than excising the area and applying skin grafts in a single term, the gradual excision method preserves the morphology of the area and provides better long-term results.
